We will drive 2.000 km across Southern India
in a TukTuk to help the street children of Chennai.
Do you support us?

The Bombay Challenge
The Bombay Challenge starts on March 6, 2010. As one of the 18 participants, TT Ganesha will travel 2.000 kilometres across Southern India in a TukTuk, for the purpose of drawing attention to the living conditions of the street children of India.

The teams would like to collect as much sponsorship money (as well as donations) as possible before their departure. The money will go towards the projects of Cordaid Kinderstem (Cordaid Child’s voice). On March 18 all of the teams will converge in Chennai and visit one of the projects. The team will then make a report on the projects and their journey through India, so that the sponsors can get a clear picture of how their money is being spent.

The Bombay Challenge is a so-called ‘Independent Challenge’; thus meaning that although the organisation pays for the TukTuks, transit and visitation expenses; all of the sponsorship money (the total amount) actually goes to the good cause of Cordaid Kinderstem!

Our team: TT Ganesha
Our team comprises Chris Steltenpool (aged 31) and Mischa Pranger (aged 32). We have known each other for almost 20 years and we presently both run a design company. The Bombay Challenge is an extraordinary opportunity to travel together, whilst at the same time support a good cause.

Our team (with start number 16) will become renowned under the name TT Ganesha. The Hindu god Ganesha, recognisable by its elephant head, is the protector of travellers, and furthermore removes obstacles and bestows new challenges, luck as well as success. All these qualities represent this challenge perfectly!
